WAC RECEIVES POETRY GRANT: The Wyoming Arts Council has received an $8,000 grant to participate in the Poetry Out Loud project co-sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation. The grant will help fund poetry recitation contests at high schools throughout Wyoming. Poetry champs from the schools will travel to Cheyenne in April for the state finals and a set of poetry writing workshops. That winner will represent WYO at the national finals in May in Washington, D.C. Teachers in grades 9-12 with Language Arts, Speech/Debate, and/or Drama classes are eligible to participate.
